Lesson 4 Practice Journal
This is an education project for a fictional producer of straw widgets.
The Site Plan
This week I worked on all of the elements of the site plan. I was told not to spend more than 3 hours on it, yet I was told it should be thorough and at least 5 pages. I have spent more than 7 hours trying to get all of it together.
Card Sorts
I have conducted a couple of modified card sorts. I gave 2 people a list of topics from my web site and had them put the topics in an order. One person put them in an outline form and the other just made notes next to the bullet points. I am including copies of those two card sorts. I also completed my personas.
Time Challenges
I have been working on the pages and the information on them. I have not been able to finish them. I am so exhausted from lack of sleep that I can’t function anymore. It isn’t just this class. I needed to attend the temple. We left after breakfast and returned after 10 PM. I have been working again since I got home, but it still isn’t done.
Time Spent
I have spent about 15 hours reading and about 7 hours gathering information and preparing things so I can submit my site plan.
It is 3 in the morning and I need to go to sleep.
