This is an education project for a fictional producer of straw widgets.
This is my first journal written directly in HTML. I am finally catching up with my lessons. This week I learned about modules. I am using them on this page, and have added modules to the existing pages. I also set up files to organize my site better.
This week, I spent about 9 hours reading material for my site. I also spent 5 hours deliberately practicing on my site. My main focus was on creating links and modules. I created internal links that used the file pathways. I put the links into 3 different modules that I have created.
I have created a module for the header, the footer, and the journal links. I have already found how much easier it is to build pages with these modules. I will still need to edit the modules, but it was exciting to see. I also noticed how much smaller the code for a page becomes when I use modules.
Some of the links I have created do not go anywhere yet. I hope to have the pages started for these links by the end of next week.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get the image links to work. I could only see the alt tags. That gives me something fun to work on next week.
